About Ava

Ava Salcido is a Los Angeles & New York City based Makeup Artist—professionally apt in beauty, editorial, and your everyday glam. At a young age, Ava kindled her love for makeup through her mother’s collection of archival magazines from Elle to Vogue to Rolling Stones, and many more iconic editorial digests. These were her favorite books. Ava can take the context of pigmentation, shape, and texture of a look and unfold a deeper, more exaggerative narrative—which in turn informs her work today.
